This competition was bigger than the Super Bowl. Okay, maybe not. But it was almost as exciting!!
The TGS Playoff Pool has drawn to a close following Sunday’s thrilling victory for the Philadelphia Eagles over the New England Patriots. We’ve been through wild card games, the divisional round, conference championships, and the Super Bowl all to find out who at TGS can come out on top as the best playoff predictor.
For the last round, we added the special twist of prop bets, including whether Gronk would score a touchdown (he did – two, in fact), if Nick Foles would throw an interception (he also did, though it wasn’t his fault), and how the opening coin toss would go (this time, tails did fail and heads was victorious).
Each round of the playoffs was worth ten points, with the maximum number of points to be earned for the playoffs set at 40 (not counting the bets). Here’s how it turned out:
- Lindsey Schoon: 32
- Jake Ohlde: 26
- Austin Narber: 21
- Shaun Curran: 20
- Jacqueline Cordova: 17
- Matthais Schwartzkopf: 16
- Spencer Hughes: 10
- Nicole Gustafson: -6
Congratulations to Lindsey on seizing the lead with two perfect weeks of picks to start the playoffs, netting six points on Super Bowl prop bets, and never looking back. Just like Philadelphia, she grabbed the 1 seed and held on all the way to the end.
Thanks for following the TGS NFL Playoff Pool!
