Good team win… Great Teams cover

Good team win… Great Teams cover

What’s up guys.

Welcome to this college football gambling column I’m starting here. I should probably start by saying I was sick a few weeks back and threw a couple of bucks on some college football games while I was on the couch all day.

I did decent enough that I figured I’d take after my role models and try to play my cards right every week for a sport I love to watch and follow.

Ted had the idea for me to write this and I love to help out my friends and good people in general – not that this is going to change the world or anything.

Anyways my plan is to throw out five locks and a few other games that I like for the week. We’ll probably go from there and find our way and all that. Thanks for reading.

The 5 Locks

Rutgers (-2) @ Northwestern
In the six road games that Rutgers has played since Greg Schiano took back the reigns at the school, the team is 6-0 against the spread on the road. I don’t see that ending here. Northwestern is very not good and Rutgers is – at the very least – average. I think they easily cover two.

Utah State (-6) @ UNLV
I really like betting against bad teams, but UNLV has been getting just a tick better week after week through the year. They’re coming off of a bye and only lost to an undefeated UTSA team by seven in their last game, but I think Utah State might be a bit of a bigger challenge. Aggies will win by a touchdown.

Louisiana Tech (-7) @ UTEP
This game looks less appealing with the records listed next to the teams, but it just makes me love Louisiana Tech more. The Bulldogs are 1-0 in the CUSA and lost one-possession games to SMU, Mississippi State, and NC State during the non-conference portion of their schedule. I think they’ll out-talent UTEP.

UTSA (-18.5) vs. Rice
I’ve played UTSA the last couple weeks and probably will keep doing it until they lose me money. The Road Runners (electric name by the way) are firing on all cylinders and Rice’s only D-1 win came against a 1-5 Southern Miss by a touchdown. I think as long as UTSA gets a good start, they’ll blowout the Owls.

UCLA ML @ Washington
Washington has been extremely underwhelming this year and the fact that they are favored to win this game surprised me when I was going through the slate. UCLA’s coming off of a win over Arizona while Washington needed overtime to beat the worst team in the division a few weeks back. Bruins got it.

Some More to Look at
Ole Miss (-3) @ Tennessee
Akron (+19.5) @ Miami Ohio
Texas State (+7.5) vs. Troy

My trademarked 10-team, probably-won’t-win, ML parlay

+3536 on DraftKings – Oregon, Texas A&M, Rutgers, Michigan State, Fresno State, Colorado, UTSA, Utah State, Colorado State, UCLA

I got into gambling because of picks I do for the motorsports website I write for, I figured I’d give y’all an early look at what I’m doing for the Sunday ahead. NASCAR Sneak Peak: Tyler Reddick to finish in the top 10 (-120), parlay it with Chase Elliott (-350) if your app allows.
