Battles: Late night convos at TGS

Arnoldthethird: Really good in Edge of Tomorrow

Ohldewankenobi: He was weirdly kind of right for Jerry Maguire.

Arnoldthethird: It’s understandable to pick Cruise I’m just saying don’t sleep on buddy because he’s got some great performances

Vos: I was trying to somehow weigh how good I thought they were along with the movies they were in which is how I had Crowe slightly under Cruise.

All four of these dudes are greats imo, dont get me twisted

Ohldewankenobi: Oh I really don’t have anything against Cruise or anything

Dude’s movies make money

Just leaving him off if forced to choose

Vos: Depends on which angle you come at, but no matter what I they’re all great. Part of what makes it fun.

Tim: I would’ve included Daniel Day Lewis instead of Tom Cruise.

Vos: …thats a very you thing to say lol

Tim: Thank you?

Ohldewankenobi: Now there’s a guy who takes his job too seriously

Vos: I knew the name but googled his movies and have only seen one. Also only recognize like one or two others.

Tim: How about Matt Damon?

Vos: Also what I meant by that was the guy is probably in a lot of good movies and does well but I have no idea what the movies are.

Ohldewankenobi: Always plays Matt Damon

Vos: I would put in Damon over Cruise

I have seen that dude have range and do it well

Tim: I like Bourne over MI or Reacher and I think Damon does comedy better, too.

Ohldewankenobi: I generally find Damon offputting and it’s hard to articulate why

Vos: I just think back to Good Will Hunting and then into the Bourne stuff and that alone puts him over Cruise for me (edited)

Ohldewankenobi: But I’m still taking him over Cruise at the end of the day

Tim: Whew, Jake I was worried we were agreeing too much.

Vos: Which one….LOL

Ohldewankenobi: Any of them

Spencerhughes: The M:I series is the best action franchise of the last decade that didn’t have a superhero. Cruise stays IMO

Vos: Fast and Furious better

Tim: Ha! Yeah, my general policy is to just agree with any Jake

Aaron: Forgot about Fight Club…  Pitt getting closer to being safe over Cruise.

Vos: I mean the Oceans movies? come on Aaron

Spencerhughes: I get this but I disagree

“Vos: Fast and Furious better”

Aaron: Are you calling John Wick a superhero?

Spencerhughes:  The M:I series is the best action franchise of the last decade that didn’t have a superhero. Cruise stays IMO

Tim: Honestly, I think Damon is one of the better parts of the Oceans movies

Vos: I think its a fair opinion either way honestly Spencer

Agreed Damon does his part well in those movies

Spencerhughes: Damon is great in the Oceans

Damon is great in The Departed

Ohldewankenobi: I agree with Spencer on MI but they could put Henry Cavill as Ethan Hunt and I’d barely bat an eye

Aaron: Shut it Vos.  The oceans movies are fun but not cinematic greatness or anything.  Replace Pitt with Bill Hader and their still the same movies

Tim: Ooh, shit, there’s another one we should put in here. Leo

Vos: Good Will Hunting is one of my all time favorites and I always go back to him in that haha

BILL HADER….?!?!?!

Now youre just trolling Aaron

Aaron: Yeah.  I’m sure he has a spot on Pitt impression.

Ohldewankenobi: Leo is the greatest actor of this generation

Tim: Now I kinda wanna see Oceans with Bill Hader

Spencerhughes: I’ve never thought of Pitt as a great actor but he is in Basterds

Vos: I mean Id watch it

Spencerhughes: Gorlami!!

Aaron: I mean Hader could replace that whole cast and play every role.  It would be fantastic.  Even Julia Roberts

Vos: LMAO fuck off Aaron

Ohldewankenobi: A fun one instead of Cruise is Clooney

Tim: Clooney is charismatic as hell, but i don’t know about the range

Ohldewankenobi: Maybe I’m just a Clooney stan tho, idk

Vos: The Men Who Stare at Goats

Ohldewankenobi: Him as Danny Ocean is one of my top 10 all time roles

Vos: Love Clooney

Ohldewankenobi: Oh Brother Where Art Thou

Vos: I might have the same Jake

Tim: He’s good in that. He’s good in Leatherheads which I think is underrated

Arnoldthethird: Brad Pitt in Oceans 11/12–two of the great “handsome white guy” performances of this century

Vos: Hes great as Danny Ocean

Ohldewankenobi: He’s amazing in Out of Sight too

Tim: Hes just so pretty, I still just see George Clooney

Ohldewankenobi: Lol

Fair

Arnoldthethird: Shoutout to my fellow Missourian Brad Pitt

Spencerhughes: If we’re trying to get the 4 best actors in this mix we gotta get Tom Hanks here

Vos: Is he really Arnold? lol

Arnoldthethird: He is indeed from Missouri

Ohldewankenobi: I’m fine with Hanks as long as we don’t have to talk about Forrest Gump

Vos: Oh god I have to go to bed. i cant try and figure out the best 4 actors right now.

Tim: Hanks might almost be in a different class. He might have to be in my Daniel Day Lewis All-Star Old Actor category

Ohldewankenobi: Pitt is a pretty big Chiefs fan

Vos: Hanks is in there for me Im pretty sure.

Spencerhughes: Kansas City sports punch above their weight in Hollywood

Aaron: Pitt from down around Springfield.

Missouri born in the house.

Vos: Y’all have fun. Peace.

Spencerhughes: Paul Rudd

Ohldewankenobi: David Koechner, Eric Stonestreet

Spencerhughes: Jason Sudeikis right

Ohldewankenobi: Henry Cavill

Spencerhughes: Rob Riggle

Tim: Yeah, but they also have Rob Riggle. I wanna like the guy, but I can’t avoid the huge turds he has laid

Ohldewankenobi: Yep, Sudeikis and Riggle

Aaron: The Busch Guy

Ohldewankenobi: Harry Dean Stanton was a Chiefs fan back in the day

Arnoldthethird: Hayley Atwell’s father is from Kansas City and she threw out the first pitch at a royals game once. She counts. And I am in love with her.

Aaron: Hayley Atwell is incredible.
