  1. Sweet Potatoes

What isn’t to like about Thanksgiving aka turkey day? We get to hang out with friends and family, usually the weather isn’t that bad just yet (thanks global warming), and it almost certainly involves booze, board games and NFL football. That’s all without mentioning the glorious amounts of wonderful food! Except ham, you can keep ham for your sack lunches because it’s the worst cut of pork there is IMHO. In conclusion take time to be thankful for the people who are there for you and I really hope you all took Friday off like I did! –Jared Smith

  1. Cranberry Sauce
  1. Snickers Salad
  1. Turkey Dark Meat

My favorite part of Thanksgiving is the nap. It’s born of being sleepy after sharing a huge meal with family and friends. It usually happens in front of a TV with football on, and it’s totally fine to crash out in the middle of the day. In fact, it’s expected – how else are people getting through shopping all night? That nap is always a highlight of the entire season. There isn’t much that is more satisfying than waking up on the couch, warm, next to your loved ones, with a quarter of football left to watch. – Tami Dooley

  1. Corn
  1. Green Bean Casserole
  1. Pumpkin Pie
  1. My Mom’s Mac and Cheese
  1. Homemade Noodles

Thanksgiving is the best holiday for me. It’s great when you get older because it becomes a great time to laugh and relax with family. But the best Thanksgiving is when you are in your early 20’s. Is there anything better than the night before Thanksgiving out at the bar? No. That night is simply one of the best nights as a young person. Then the next night you go out again and see who you missed the previous night, and you come home and get to make the best drunk meal you will eat all year. I remember putting every single plastic container on the counter and making a turkey sandwich with homemade noodles, potatoes, and homemade bread. God damn I am drooling just thinking about it. That is what I remember when I think about Thanksgiving. – Ted Flint

  1. Ham
  1. Homemade Bread/Rolls
  1. Stuffing
  1. Turkey White Meat
  1. Mashed Potatoes

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us here at TGS. Enjoy all of the family, food and football that this weekend is sure to entail!
